Update Structure Fire - Turner

Emergency service crews are departing the scene of the structure fire at Condamine Court on Forbes Street, Turner. Northbound lanes of Northbourne Avenue will be reopened shortly. ACT Fire & Rescue firefighters are ensuring the building is safe and have completed atmospheric monitoring. ACT Ambulance Service paramedics assessed a number of people for smoke inhalation and one person was transported to hospital. Occupants are being allowed back into the building.

ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Policing were called to a structure fire at Condamine Court on Forbes Street, Turner at approximately 8:45pm this evening. Firefighters have extinguished a fire on the ground floor of a multi-storey unit complex and rescued three people from within the building. Two northbound lanes on Northbourne Avenue are closed at this time due to operations. Members of the community are asked to avoid the area.
