Prescribed Burns - 5 & 6 April

Two prescribed burns will be taking place this weekend at the following locations:

Saturday 5 April 2025

Springbank Island, Lake Burley Griffin

This burn will begin at 11am and run for approximately 4 hours.

Sunday 6 April 2025

Near John Gorton Drive, Molonglo

This burn will begin at 10am and run for approximately 9 hours.

 

Smoke and flames may be visible while these burns are underway.

 

These burns are being managed by the ACT Rural Fire Service and are an important tool for managing our land and reducing fire risk.
