ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished a house fire on Jeff Snell Crescent in Dunlop. Damage to the property was contained to the kitchen. Unattended cooking left on a stove caused the fire. Occupants inside the property called Triple Zero (000) and evacuated quickly, following advice from firefighters. Firefighters are currently ventilating the property. The occupants are expected to be able to return to their home shortly. ACT Fire & Rescue reminds the community that in the event of a fire you should leave quickly and call Triple Zero (000) from a safe place.
