ADVICE: Bushfires - Namadgi National Park - Stay Informed (Cotter Hut Ignition 2)

Three bushfires continue to burn in the Namadgi National Park, southwest of Canberra. 
 
An 🟡 ADVICE - Stay Informed warning remains in place for the fires near Cotter Hut and Bendora Dam.
 
📍 7.3 hectares (+0.3ha today) - Cotter Hut Ignition 1
📍 0.17 hectares (revised from 0.3ha) - Cotter Hut Ignition 2
📍 3.4 hectares (+0.4ha today) - Bendora Dam Ignition
 
The fires were detected on Saturday (03/01) afternoon, after a storm cell passed through the area.

Specialist Remote Area Firefighting Teams (RAFT), and aerial firefighting aircraft have been working throughout the weekend to establish containment lines and extinguish hotspots. 
 
The ACT State Emergency Services been assisting the incident response by providing flood boats to access the very remote, rugged terrain. 
 
Rainfall today aided firefighting efforts, and favourable weather conditions are expected tomorrow (05/01). The Fire Danger Rating is 🟩 Moderate.
 
The ACT Rural Fire Service is monitoring the situation overnight, and work to contain the fires will continue on Monday.
 
There is no immediate threat to life or property.
