[media-alert type="image" id=30608]ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished an extensive fire on the balcony of a first floor apartment on Flemington Road, Franklin.
The balcony sustained major damage. Neighbouring apartments sustained smoke damage.
Atmospheric monitoring and air ventilation operations were undertaken to ensure the area is now safe.
Multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reported black smoke coming from the building. All apartments were vacant at the time of the fire.
