Firefighters are cutting open the ducting to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
A build-up of saw dust from a machine caused the fire to start in a workshop at the back of the gallery. The cause is not suspicious.
ACT Fire & Rescue is conducting atmospheric monitoring to ensure the area is safe and will shortly allow people back into the building.
Crews will remain on scene for about another hour.
