Chemical spill in Hume

A chemical leak that occurred on Tralee Street in Hume has been contained by ACT Fire & Rescue.

Fire crews were called to the site where about five litres of chemical leaked from a container.

Three fire pumpers, a Hazardous Materials vehicle and a Command vehicle responded.

Crews are currently undertaking clean-up operations and atmospheric monitoring.

There is no risk to the public.
