Storm and Flood Assistance
The ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) today will deploy a second 14-person strike team across the border to help fighting a large bushfire at Boro, east of Lake George.
It follows a formal request for assistance from the NSW Rural Fire Service.
The first team made up of five medium tankers and a group commander returned home last night after spending the afternoon and evening on the fireground.
The second strike team will be identical with the addition of one of the ACT's two contracted bushfire helicopters and an air observer.
