The ACT Parks & Conservation Service will be conducting a prescribed hazard-reduction burn at the Jerrabomberra Grasslands today.
The burn is scheduled to commence at approximately 11am and smoke is expected to be visible around the Monaro Highway near the Alexander Maconachie Centre and Monaro Model Aero Club.
ACT Health advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
