Firefighters have evacuated approximately 200 workers as a precaution from Pharmacy House, National Circuit and Brisbane Ave, Barton, following a water leak on the top floor.
Crews were alerted to the water leak in the Plant Room following an Emergency Triple Zero (000) call at 1.03pm.
The leak is currently being isolated by ACT Fire & Rescue which has affected the three storey building on the lower levels.
Some damage has been sustained to the ceiling and lights and some workers will be permitted to return to the ground floor only at this stage.
The two fire pumpers and one Commander are expected to depart shortly.
