A private landholder will today, Monday 12 May, 2014, weather permitting, conduct an agricultural burn on the property "Avonley", Majura Road, Majura.
The burn is expected to continue through the day and includes a large grass paddock.
The ACT Handy Map grid reference for the burn is M11.
Temporary smoke cover may occur.
The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory
and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay
inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their
medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
