Firefighters have extinguished a fire in a bottom floor flat on Osborne Place in Belconnen.
Four pumpers, the Bronto Skylift Hydraulic Platform, Hazardous Materials Unit and a commander are on scene.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are now underway.
No-one was inside the unit at the time but residents in the remaining flats were evacuated.
The Emergency Triple Zero (000) call was made at 1:06am.
