The ACT Territory and Municipal Services Directorate (TAMS) will today, Wednesday 13 March, 2013, weather permitting, continue with two controlled burns within the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, near Ring Road and Nil Desperandum.
The two burns combined are approximately 150 hectares in size.

Also, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will today, Wednesday 13 March, 2013, weather permitting, conduct a hazard reduction burn in the Brindabella National Park at Coree Camp.
The burn is approximately one hectare in size.
The ACT Handy Map grid reference for the burn is F12.

Temporary smoke cover may occur. Every effort is made to conduct the burns in weather conditions that will minimise the impact of smoke in the area.
The Health Directorate advises that people with asthma, other chronic respiratory and/or chronic cardiac diseases should not perform vigorous exercise and should stay inside if affected by the smoke. People with asthma in particular should continue their medication and consult their general practitioner if they have any difficulties.
