The ACT Rural Fire Service is now mopping up a grass fire that had been burning at Coppins Crossing Road Belconnen this afternoon.
Firefighters expect to remain on scene for a few more hours to complete the job.
The ACT Rural Fire Service has eight units on scene and has just released the water bombing helicopter from the scene.
The total area burned is approximately seven hectares. The cause is unknown.
