Storm and Flood Assistance
The ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) will conduct a hazard reduction burn tomorrow, Sunday 18 September, 2011, weather permitting, from 8.00am till 10.00am, on Jerrabomberra Ave, south of Narrabundah Lane, Symonston.
Five tankers, two command units and 30 personnel will conduct the burn covering a total area of approx half a hectare.
The purpose of the burn is to reduce a fire hazard with the removal of accumulated fuel and as a training exercise for new recruits.
